south-central South Dakota. Whether it's bowhunting for whitetails, or
shotgunning for
ring-necked pheasants, doves, Canada geese and ducks, or a combination hunt,
Ambush Acres can offer you a quality hunting experience for a reasonable price.
Ambush
Acres lodge was completed the summer of 2000 and is located on a creek bottom
overlooking a 70 acre lake loaded with trophy bass and migrating waterfowl.
The 2000 square
foot lodge has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, comfortable lounging area with wet bar,
satellite TV,
and deck with scenic view.
We hunt over 10,000 acres of private land focusing on a 5 mile
stretch of the James River bottom
which consists of timber, dense brush, and cropland. Numerous
drainages on our leases have wooded draws and gullies that make ideal deer
travelways and corridors and support lots of pheasants. We practice
no-till farming on our cropland which leaves stubble and non-
harvested crops available to wildlife. We also have numerous strategically
placed foodplots throughout the leases consisting of corn, alfa-rack, tyfon,
clover and small grain. These food plots make the areas self supporting
for our wildlife and are a natural draw for neighboring wildlife.
The many unique and diversified habitat types provide a variety of hunting
conditions for our
hunters.

This area is a real sleeper for archery deer and pheasant hunting, like the good

What's included?
Hunting packages include fully guided hunts, lodging
(includes linens and towels), meals (family
style, home cooked), treestands and ground blinds, well seasoned bird dogs,
transportation to and from fields, kennels for personal dogs, bird cleaning
facilities and freezer.
All daily limits are according to state law.
What's not included?
Hunting attire, personal gun or bow, state sales tax
(5%), gratuities, license(s), ammunition, transportation to our Lodge.
